Bio

Shelley is a creative, a collaborator, and a technician with over two decades of experience designing for theatre. She recently relocated to Louisville after many years living and working in Philadelphia and New York. She received a Barrymore Award for Outstanding Lighting Design for her work in OF MICE AND MEN at the Walnut Street Theatre, America's oldest theatre.

Recent credits include: BORN YESTERDAY, and AN IDEAL HUSBAND (Walnut St Theatre); THIS IS THE WEEK THAT IS and THE BIG TIME (1812 Productions); THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES and THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL (11th Hour Theatre Company); ROMEO AND JULIET and EMMA (Lantern Theatre Company); STEELWORKS and THE STRIPED HAT (BalletX), PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (People's Light and Theatre Company) ALL MY SONS and BLITHE SPIRIT (Delaware Theatre Company).

In addition to her professional experience, Shelley enjoys teaching and mentoring in educational theatre. She's designed lights and trained students for Drexel University, Ursinus College, and University of Pennsylvania as well as numerous high schools and Upper Darby Summer Stage, which has many notable alumni including Tina Fey. Most recently she served as a technical theatre coach for Lower Merion High School's renowned "Players" program.
